Gregory Catellier is a dancer, choreographer, lighting designer, and teacher. After dancing for various choreographers and companies in Phoenix and New York, he received his Masters of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University where he concentrated on dance lighting design and production. Catellier is active in the Atlanta dance scene as both a dancer and lighting designer. Besides his evening length showcases, his choreography has been selected for American College Dance Festival gala concert, the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival and the Handful Series in Athens, Georgia. Catellier is the resident dance lighting designer for Emory University, previously for the Bates Dance Festival, as well as many companies and festivals around the Atlanta area. As an educator, he teaches modern dance technique, fitness for dancers, lighting design for dancers, principles of design, and contact improvisation.


Greg is not only an excellent teacher but an excellent mentor. He takes time in getting to know his students and is dedicated to them and their improvement. He gives individual corrections to let everyone in the room know they are seen. With his unique sense of humor he doesn’t take anything too seriously which allows students to connect with him and automatically feel comfortable.
